This new, international center at Göteborg University, on the west coast of Sweden, will provide an inspiring setting for study and research into all aspects of the organ art and the organ instrument - interpretation of the organ music of different periods, improvisation in all possible genres, research into the lost art of pre-industrial organ-building, studies of sources, the history of ideas and aesthetics, and much more.

GOArt Organ Documentation

GOArt is developing a database which provide information on several topics: namely, organs, organ-related keyboard instruments (especially clavichords), keyboard instrument makers. It will also consist of a so-called "library part," which will, on the one hand, be a catalogue to the GOArt Library, and on the other, be a reference system on topics of keyboard instrument building, keyboard music, performance practice - all topics in connection to the ongoing research within the Göteborg Organ Art Center.
